Rebate Options
Rebate rates can be changed or adjusted at any time.
The program provides unique rebate flexibility options, allowing virtually every business type to participate in issuance and redemption of rebates on all branded Cash Value Cards issued by any Program Sponsor.
NOTE: the rebate transactions are live, meaning; the system dials out on a per transaction basis. The system calculates and batches the rebate transaction immediately, reporting the sale and rebate transaction on the cardholders (and merchants copy) receipt at purchase. Cardholder access to funds is immediate, and refund ACH'd
from the merchants designated account as the end of the day after the merchant batches
their terminal transactions. Cardholder card history and balances, as well as card sales and transaction reports, are available to the Cardholder/Merchant “Real – Time” online 24/7. At the end of the day/shift the batch is automatically settled, and the Merchant can manually print a batch receipt at the terminal, or online.
1) Percent of Sale Rebate Functionality
All rebate offers based upon a percentage of the sale will function in the same manner as follows:
The rebate percentage of sale rate is programmed into our system, to automatically credit the cardholder per the purchase at the merchants POS terminal, excluding
tax, tip and alcohol.
Customer makes a purchase; after the sales transaction is complete, the merchant swipes the customer’s program card through the card reader and manually keys in the sale amount, and then key in the clerk code, and presses “enter”. That’s it.
2) Percent of Sale Rebate by Time Stamp
The rebate rate is programmed and controlled by time stamp. Merchants can offer various rebates based upon time of day, and the day of week.
Example: A business may offer a 20% rebate during peak hours, and a 30% rebate during off-peak hours. The same can be applied by the day of week (20% on weekends, and 30% on Mon through Fri). Each business can choose their rebate offerings to fit their business model.
NOTE: only a single percentage rate can be programmed at a specific time of day. You cannot mix a 20% and a 30% rebate in the same time slot.
Time Stamp Creative Opportunities:
* Drive stronger store traffic during off peak hours - weekend, daily, or hourly specials
* Seasonal or Holiday specials - merchandise clearance sales
3) Percent of Sale Rebate with a Maximum Rebate Cap
Merchants can offer a percentage of the sale as a rebate; yet cap the amount with a maximum rebate offer.
Example: The business sets the rebate rate at 20% and sets the rebate maximum at $200.00. If a customer’s purchase is $800.00, the rebate is $160.00 (20%). If the customer’s purchase is $3000.00, the rebate is $200.00 (maximum rebate cap).
Maximum Rebate Cap Creative Opportunities:
* Large ticket merchandise/purchases - specific models or specific manufacturer merchandise
* Seasonal or over stock merchandise - discontinued/close out merchandise
4) Fixed Dollar Amount Rebate
Merchants can offer a fixed dollar amount rebate instead of a percent of sale rebate.
Example: Merchants can offer a flat $50.00 rebate, by pre-programming the rebate rate at 100%. When the merchant enters $50.00 on the terminal, it automatically calculates 100% of the amount as the rebate.
Fixed Amount Rebate Creative Opportunities:
* Minimum purchase requirements - service sales (of any kind)
* Manufacturer rebates - specific products/merchandise
Credit/Debit Card Transaction Comparison
The SRX™ Cash Rewards (loyalty/gift) Card rebate program has
NO transaction fees. The cash rebates tracked by the system are split between direct cash rebated to the cardholder or designated non-profit recipient organizations (which includes a systems
management network fee built in to run the program). This is how we can provide loyalty/gift card services without programming, software or transaction fees, at virtually
NO Cost To You !
The cash rebates offered are 100% Tax Deductible For You, as an operating expense,
unlike a discount or coupons, which are unrecoverable costs to the business.
And, there are NO annual fees, NO monthly minimums, nor any reporting or statement fees.
Participation only requires that a merchant offer some level of a cash rebate between 15% to 20% to all cardholders, the amount range as specified being entirely of the merchant’s choice. Online transaction reports are available via a user code and password secured account on our web site.
SRX™ retains 10% of each rebate as a system management network fee to manage the program, the remainder of the rebate (15% to 20%) is retained by the cardholder. This standard split for loyalty/gift card products is less costly than a traditional program based upon transaction fees:
